This one's been re-mastered and is now wrapped and ready for Newbury Contemporary Art Fair this weekend.
Once again enjoying random juxtapositions whilst mounting and framing. Though it's probably one of the least creative parts of getting my art out there, it always gives me a new perspective on the pieces and ideas for putting colours and shapes together.
Last chance for free tickets to Newbury Contemporary Art Fair at Newbury Racecourse, between 30th July and 1st August. Just hop onto my mailing list via the link in my bio and you'll receive an email with said tickets tomorrow (was going to be today, but heat exhaustion and normal exhaustion has overtaken me!).
Quite pleased with the results of my framing so far- I've been re-using old (but perfectly serviceable) frames. In a mad rush now to have everything ready for Newbury Contemporary Art Fair at the end of the month- fate has decided to throw me some extra challenges in the form of home-schooling and baking heat. I'm still feeling energetic at the moment, but I have a feeling the end of the week may feel quite different!

This is one of my 'Sunrise, Badbury Hill' series. There are 10 in this drypoint/collage/monoprint series and quite a few will be with me at Newbury Contemporary Art Fair between 30th July and 1st August.

The first time I've tried to print this card drypoint plate with a press today. Pleased with the results, though I think this might be the last print from it. Last time @spikeprintstudio for a while, summer holidays here we come!
A new biggie (ish) started last week @spikeprintstudio I just can't resist monoprinting- even when I'm drypointing- I don't think I'll ever be able to do an edition in the traditional sense!
A morning of playful printing @spikeprintstudio resulted in these little pieces from a very simple drypoint card plate.
